Josh Lief is singer-songwriter, guitar player based in Richmond, VA. Josh’s has two albums of original music out. "Redemption" 
recorded at Montrose Recording in Richmond, VA, contains all original songs, and is a mixture of Americana, Country-Rock and Blues and is available on all online services. The first single from the album, Five Forks Woods, got airplay on over 100 radio stations across the U.S. and is still in rotation on several stations. Josh's second album - "Love In Disguise" - was also recorded at Montrose.  The single Love In Disguise was released with a live-action video. Like Redemption it contains all original tracks covering a wide range of music.  Love In Disguise has a more blues/rock sound to it but still contains some elements of Americana/Folk. The song Love In Disguise received over 100,000 plays per month upon its release.

The Josh Lief Band ("JLB") gigs throughout Virginia, Maryland and NC.  The band includes Josh on vocals and guitar, Tommy Dacat on bass/vocals and Andre LaBelle on drums. JLB combines Josh's original music with classic and blues-rock hits along a dose of blues and country for a wide-ranging musical experience.  In addition to band gigs, Josh plays solo acoustic and drum guitar duo shows on a regular basis. Among the mainstays of JLB are ZZ Top, Petty, CCR, SRV and Seger.
 

Josh started playing guitar when he was 6 years old. His style is a mixture of the all the music he loved as a young musician. His influences started with his big three of Hendrix, Clapton, and Page. He also learned a lot of country style lead guitar from being a big Southern Rock fan as well as of the classic country of Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings. He also loves the music of Neil Young, the Allman Brothers and the Grateful Dead and they can be heard in his lead playing and writing. country to folk and in his solo acoustic shows does just that.
